On the first day of the summer academy (monday): Participants are introduced to the Zulip interface and instructed to use it for communication during the course of the week. Zulip makes use of a rather unconventional (but powerful) chat-threading logic, so it would be good to spend some time interacting with it and settle into this new environment.
Workshop hosts and participants are encouraged to think about how they would like to document their processes during the summer academy. What is included and what isn't? How is this shared? Is there a regular moment during the day dedicated to documentation or is it more ad-hoc? We suggest using Etherpad for collaborative note taking, and regularly making screenshots or screenrecordings and photos. We have previously compiled a so-called "tool-ecology", a list of tools we have good experiences with and recommend using during the summer academy: https://etherpad.hackersanddesigners.nl/p/hdsa2020-tool-ecology. (Tools for documentation start at line 35) (does it make sense to create a wiki article out of it?)... yes and maybe create a new version for this year, since we are doing things quite different and use different tools such as Zuilip, Ethercalc and BBB.

Texts, images, and conversations [you mean recordings of conversations as in sound files? or why do you make a difference to text?] will make great material for our workshop.
