7. What is your motivation to join the H&D Summer Academy 'Network Imaginaries'? (1000 characters max.)

- Sound is a little different from image. It's a 'flooding' media. So, even if you don't intend to take it, it will just arrive to you, like a 'wave'. This means sometimes bad that it's dominant or over-whelming or disturbing, yet sometimes this translates into something very special that gives you a deeper level of connection to the world or others. Like holding hands. Last time, when the COVID-19 outbreak was going on in Italy, people came out to balconies - because they couldn't get out of the house - check each other's existence, bring each of the little instruments together, play together, clap, and a little I saw a scene of cheering and consensus on Twitter, and the person who filmed the video was shouting "grande! grande!" (great!). I think that the time they shared, the consensus connected by sound and music, would have been a different level of resonance than what we see from the outside of the video.

8. What is it your collective wants to explore with your workshop? (1000 characters max.)
|
|
|
|
- We've been conducting several 'sound-zine' workshops in recent years. People record sound, or obtain it in a different way, collect it, make it into a web page, then access the web page together, turn on, listen to, and change the sounds collected by different people.
|
|
- What's special here is that a sound-generated webpage uses socket.io (websocket), which means that when people make some changes to the webpage on view, this happenings will be transmitted to other views in real-time. For instance, if one start up a sound-loop, this event will start that sound-loop all together from everyones' terminals.
|
|
- This creates the illusion that our mind and existence are connected together through happenings and events.
|
|
- I would like to make a workshop on how to create this 'sound-zine' publishing system, or use it to practice sound jam on a balcony, for example.
|
|
|
|

- 소리로 연결된 몸과 몸짓으로 연결된 몸의 차이점이 궁금하고 무엇이 더 효과적인지 약간 질문거리이지만,

- 사운드-진/리믹스는 좋긴한데.. 모랄까. 좀 제한적인 느낌이 있는데, 넷피디는 확장되서 좋지만, 또 그래서 아쉬운점도 있고..

- 원래, sc에서는 클래스나 모 이런걸 메세지로 보내면서, 넷사운드 아트를 하고 그러긴 하는데...

- 와이파이-진 인데.. 라즈베리파이3 베이스로 해서... 노드를 돌리고 captive-portal 하고, websocket 싱크 할 수 있는 걸 만든다면 어떨까.

- 원하는 것은, node.js.. 그거 때문에 지금 rpi3가 필요한거지... 용량도 rpi면 좀 넓긴하지. rpi-zero w도 가능하겠지. 암튼..

- 사운드-진/리믹스를 하려면, 사운드 용량을 좀 이것저것 올릴수있어야하고, 또, 사람들이 바로바로 녹음해서 올리는 것도 만들면 좋고 하니까.. rpi가 필요해.

- 근데, 접속인원 제한에 대해서는 리서치가 좀 필요하긴해. 한명씩 접속을 하면, 그게 문제가 없을수는 있고, 사실..rpi면 모 좀 응답이 빠를수도 있긴해.

- 다만, rf 채널 같은데서 좀 막힐수도 있어... 그러니까, 공유기를 통과하는 alternative도 같이 가능해야 할 거 같아.
|

- 도메인등록이랑, 머 그런거 let s encrypt 라던가.. openwrt 기반으로 하면, 이게 좀 쉬워질수도 있어.

- 와이파이진-초인종 버젼~. 자명종. 알림종. 종이컵전화기 처럼, lora 같은건데.. 찌릉 거린다거나. 다른 뭔가 소리나게 한다거나. 등등
